Licence Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for a security licence with the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), students must not have been convicted of a disqualifying offence in the past 10 years, where a conviction was recorded. For more information on what constitutes a disqualifying offence, please visit the Queensland Government website or contact Asset College.

Security, Transport Security, First Aid and CPR Courses
Physical Training is a component of some Security Training programs.
To participate in this training/assessment requires a degree of physical exertion.
Security techniques include unbalancing, leverage, the application of joint manipulation and scenarios that involve managing violent behaviour.
First Aid techniques include performing CPR by kneeling on the floor for two (2) minutes and demonstrating safe manual handling through scenarios that involve simulated medical emergencies.
Manual Handling means lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving loads.
